Take it for What it Worth

This November 2006 marks one year since the advent of my blog, “The way I see Liberia” (http://babyrich.blogspot.com/). I started this blog because of my concern for the dissatisfied voices and condescending views sprouting from other Liberians, pros and cons, of the status quo during and after the electoral process that ushered in “Ma Ellen” President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as the first female head of state in Africa.

Though my blog’s central theme was a cautious pictorial perspective or “the big picture” of my thoughts from where I sit, far away from the ground about Liberia, I manage to include issues of world affairs that also trigger my worrying and troubling mind as a naïve citizen of the world. I, in no way consider myself as an expert in any of the issues I thread on; however, that fact does not limit my scope of in-depth understanding of any issue under this sun, after all, my thoughts are just my honest opinions.

Certain Liberians have used the Internet to express views of all sorts. Views of perpetual division, hatred, hear says without any substantial facts and the list goes on, great reading material I might add. My views I hope are not intended to trouble anyone, but to raise questions of the uneasiness of human frailty that I hope concerns others. My blog will continue to express my views as I see it from where I sit and it is my hope that the readers of these monthly thoughts will read it and take it for what it worth. That is all.
